Evaluation and monitoring

In the past 25 years, Dialogic has conducted hundreds of evaluations in a political-administrative context across a wide range of policy areas. Dialogic is well-acquainted with the role of government, the legitimacy of government interventions, and the assumptions underlying government interventions (policy theory).

In almost all evaluation studies, we use a mix of evaluation methods, ranging from more qualitative (such as interviews, desk studies, surveys, case studies) to more quantitative and experimental (including econometric and statistical research, quasi-experimental evaluation studies, and data science).

In recent years, we have been involved in evaluations of, among others, the Innovation Box, NBTC, all NWO institutes, TO2 institutions, and specific (semi-)scientific institutions in the Netherlands and Flanders (including Cultural and Heritage Policy Framework North Holland Province, Flemish Space Economy Impulse Programme, ECOOM, KMDA, Naturalis, BioSolar Cells program, QuTech, VITO, and VLIZ). For the Ministry of Finance, we developed an accessible online manual for conducting policy evaluations and policy reviews (the Policy Evaluation Toolbox).
