For Topsector ICT, Dialogic has conducted an exploration into the current state of affairs of the seven key technologies in Europe (recent developments, adoption trends, and challenges). With the insights and outcomes of the exploration, the multi-year strategic cooperation of the Netherlands within Europe is further strengthened. The research focuses on the following research questions:

• What is the current state of affairs of the seven key technologies in Europe? (Recent developments, adoption trends, and challenges?)
• Which relevant networks and collaborations in the EU are the Netherlands already involved in for the seven key technologies?
• What funding opportunities are available for digital innovation projects in the EU?

The research shows that the Netherlands participates in over a quarter of the Horizon Europe projects focusing on the seven digital key technologies. Artificial Intelligence and Software technology & computing score better than the other key areas. The Netherlands seems to be most behind in the area of Digital Twinning & Immersive technologies. Dutch organizations also frequently rank in the top 10 in terms of received subsidies and are a central point in technology networks.
