The labour market is a major challenge for the energy transition. Sufficient availability of well-qualified professionals in the labour market is considered a key prerequisite for solving the current climate and energy issues. There are various national instruments and regional implementation programmes contributing to this. The Topsector Energie (TSE) aims for a coherent approach to make the functioning as effective as possible and to prevent fragmentation in the field.
Commissioned by RVO / Topsector Energie, we analysed the various possibilities for cooperation and, in consultation with regional parties, developed seven different regional portraits. Through this website, we showcase from a regional perspective how the intended coherent approach is currently being implemented in practice, highlighting the current focus points, issues, tools, and approaches. In order to learn from each other's successes, four exemplary cases have been outlined. These examples demonstrate how a coherent approach is taking shape in regional practice, what works and what challenges arise, and provide guidance for anyone considering a similar approach.
