What do we do at Dialogic?

Each year, we carry out over 100 applied research, evaluation, and advisory projects in our domains of innovation & entrepreneurship, science, digitalisation, sustainability, education & labour market, safety, and healthcare. Many colleagues at Dialogic are active in multiple themes.
We assist our clients with current and socially relevant questions, such as:

• How can we ensure that companies contribute as effectively as possible to societal goals such as sustainability and safety?
• Which new '21st century skills' should be included in educational curricula?
• How can we increase the impact of scientific research and measure it more effectively?
• What societal opportunities and challenges do new technologies such as AI, 5G, and quantum computers bring?

To answer such questions, we use various qualitative (interviews, case studies, etc.) and quantitative (dashboards, regressions, machine learning, etc.) research and data collection methods. We translate the research results into understandable conclusions and recommendations. We call this research-based consultancy, as our advice is always substantiated with a solid analysis or knowledge base.

Our company encompasses a wide range of disciplines, including innovation scientists, data scientists, business experts, sociologists, and psychologists. You will work on multiple challenging and complex assignments concurrently, gaining valuable insights into our economy and society in a short period. Through the projects you undertake and the roles you play, you will evolve into an experienced project leader, subject matter expert, and/or advisor. There are ample opportunities for career growth. Many of our seniors and partners began their journey at Dialogic as junior or mid-level researchers/advisors.

Do you fit in with us?

We are looking for researchers with a passion for applied (policy) research who align well with the goals and activities of Dialogic. This means:

• You enjoy tackling societal challenges related to themes such as innovation, sustainability, digitalisation, education, labour market, safety, and healthcare;
• You thrive on collaborating and working in teams on various projects - project-based research and advisory work are at the core of our company;
• You contribute to this world by conducting applied research and providing advice in your work;
• You prefer working for the public sector, such as ministries, provinces, municipalities, and implementation organisations in the Netherlands and abroad (like Flanders);
• You have an interest in innovation and societal renewal.

The only firm requirements for the role are that you:

• Hold a Master’s degree or are pursuing a PhD with good results (level and experience determine entry as junior or mid-level);
• Have a pronounced interest in applied research and consultancy projects;
• Have excellent command of the Dutch language in speech and writing.

Additionally, it can be beneficial if you have a background in fields like innovation sciences, economics, organisational sciences, or business administration. However, we warmly welcome anyone who can work energetically and passionately with us on the societal challenges of tomorrow. We specifically encourage experienced researchers – such as those who have recently completed or are close to completing their PhD – to apply. They have already proven themselves to be capable researchers and can often progress quickly at Dialogic to become project leaders or senior researcher/advisors.
