The future does not grow by itself.

Dialogic conducts research on a wide range of topics, particularly for the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food Security and Nature in the Netherlands. Here are a few examples:

• Recently, we conducted the Periodic Reporting on Agricultural Policy for the Ministry of AFN. For this study, Dialogic assessed the effectiveness and efficiency of the agricultural policy implemented by AFN from 2019 to 2024. The research covered all themes related to agricultural policy during that period, from ensuring food safety and quality to promoting sustainability in production and consumption (through circular agriculture).
• From 2023 to 2024, Dialogic carried out the evaluation on External Offset. If an initiator wants to develop an activity that results in increased nitrogen deposition on nitrogen-sensitive Natura 2000 areas where significant negative effects cannot be ruled out, they must mitigate these potential impacts (Article 6, third paragraph of the EU Habitats Directive) to obtain permission. External offsetting - using nitrogen capacity from a business that ceases operations either wholly or partially - is an example of such a mitigating measure.
• From 2024 to 2025, Dialogic conducted the evaluation of the Subsidy Modules for Source-Oriented Sustainability in Stable and Management Measures (Sbv). The scheme aims to support livestock farmers through the innovation module in conducting research and developing innovations to make proven techniques available for broader practical application in the future. The investment module provides subsidies for the widespread adoption and investment in proven techniques in stable systems.
• Robotisation and digitalisation are playing an increasingly important role in improving sector productivity and in implementing more sustainable agricultural methods (e.g. precision agriculture). Dialogic has conducted research in various ways over the past few years on the implementation of robotisation in the sector. An example of this is our study on the skills required by independent agricultural business advisors to support farms in implementing robotics. In the impact analysis of digital key technologies, we also extensively covered the digitalisation of the agriculture sector.
