I Holland find discrimination in job vacancy texts unfortunately still occurs. Sometimes there is an explicit request for individuals with a specific gender, age, or background. The Inspectorate of SZW, the supervisory authority in the field of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment, wants to combat this discrimination and therefore wants to be able to better supervise vacancies placed by employers.
The Inspectorate wants to have access to a tool, a 'vacancy scanner', that collects online job vacancies and (automatically) assesses them for potential discrimination. This information can then be used by the Inspectorate to, after human review, take immediate action towards the party that posted the discriminatory job vacancy, or to choose a more general supervisory approach based on an aggregated view of sectors where discriminatory job vacancies are relatively common.
Dialogic will develop this job vacancy scanner for and with the Inspectorate SZW in the coming period. Want to know more? Then contact Arthur Vankan.
