To truly understand how something works, I prefer to completely take it apart and then try to put it back together myself. This approach is also applicable in strategic advice within the digitalisation and telecom domain, where a strong technical component is often present. Attention to small details can make essential differences. My technical background and knowledge enable me to bridge the gap between policymakers and specialists. The insights and advice I provide to clients are largely based on quantitative data and models. My proficiency in programming and data analysis languages, along with my eye for detail, are essential in developing and refining these insights. Themes that I focus on include mobile networks, cybersecurity, and machine learning. I work with various (semi-)public and private organisations, such as the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy, Rijksinspectie Digitale Infrastructuur (RDI), Alliander, Enexis, Eurostat, ITU, Chamber of Commerce, Nauta Dutilh, OECD, Sligro, TenneT, Wolters Kluwer, and various other Dutch ministries and provinces. Additionally, I am responsible for the ICT infrastructure, software development, and online services at Dialogic. Since 2020, as a partner at Dialogic, I share responsibility for our team's strategic direction and management, which now consists of approximately 40 researchers and consultants. Prior to this, I completed my Master's degree in Innovation Sciences at the Eindhoven University of Technology and Università L. Bocconi in Milan, with an internship at Philips IP&S. Over the years, I have developed web applications and mobile apps for various clients, including Rabobank and CostPerform. Apart from my work at Dialogic, I contribute to open-source software projects, particularly in the field of machine learning. In my free time, I enjoy running, cycling, or hiking, and if possible, snowboarding. During less favourable weather conditions, I engage in electronics and home automation, work on (open-source) software, follow Formula 1, and watch sumo wrestling. I also love to travel and create video summaries afterwards. ## Expertise/Skills ## - **Data analysis, data engineering, and machine learning:** Profound knowledge of relational databases and associated query languages (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, SQLite; 15+ years of experience), GIS (QGIS, PostGIS), and Excel. Experience with language models (BERT, LLaMA, etc.) and machine learning frameworks. Co-developer of wonnx, an open-source software library for efficient and quick execution of machine learning models on graphic cards. - **Software development:** 15+ years of practical experience with Go, Swift, Java, C/C++, PHP, Python, and Rust (see my contributions on GitHub). Expert level knowledge in web development (HTML5, JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS, and frameworks like Vue and Nuxt). - **Telecommunications:** Understanding of 3GPP network architectures, radio technology (LTE/5G NR), spectrum policy, security considerations, and cryptography.
