Paulien Pakkert

Since September 2025, I have been working as a Senior Researcher at Dialogic. Previously, I gained experience as a researcher at training and education agency Schouten & Nelissen, and in recent years as a (senior) policy researcher at Bureau Bartels. My main focus is on issues related to the labour market and labour market access, sustainable employability, lifelong learning (LLO), and education (and the intersection of these themes). With a background in the psychology of work, organisation, and health, I approach issues from a psychological perspective with attention to human behaviour, motivation, and development. I have conducted previous research commissioned by ministries (such as SZW and EZ) and provinces, and as part of a large research consortium funded by NWO (Eerder uit de Schulden: wat werkt?). Additionally, I have extensive experience with sector-specific issues, working on behalf of sector funds and social partners. I have delved into diverse sectors - from water boards to the carpentry industry, and from the cleaning and window cleaning sector to healthcare and welfare. This diversity energises me and provides me with broadly applicable knowledge and insights. In my work, I enjoy combining qualitative and quantitative research methods and ensuring that the results are translated into clear and usable reports or communication products. In my free time, you can find me dancing at concerts and festivals, capturing moments with my camera in nature, or training in kickboxing at the dojo.
