On Wednesday 9 June 2021, colleague Rosa Kuipers, in collaboration with Matthijs Janssen (Dialogic and Utrecht University) and Jarno Hoekman (Utrecht University), gave a presentation at the annual European conference EU-SPRI. The conference was held in Oslo this year and focused on the theme: Science and innovation – an uneasy relationship? Rethinking the roles and relations of STI policies.

The research Rosa presented was titled: ‘Towards Science for Society – A multicriteria mapping study on university policies for enhancing societal impact of Dutch academic research’, and is a continuation of her graduation research from 2019 that she conducted at Dialogic as a student at Utrecht University. In collaboration with Matthijs and Jarno, the intention is to publish the research soon. A draft version of the paper was shared with other scientists prior to the presentation, who were able to provide feedback to elevate the paper to an even higher level. The presentation and the draft version of the paper were well received and led to valuable feedback points. The applied methodology and the research findings were also inspiring!
